School. School. School.

I wish school was over and it was SUMMA TIME. It feels like this year just FLEW by!! Goodness. There's been WAY too much drama at school lately and I'm REALLY SICK of it. Like for instance:

Andy and Olivia. What's new? They always have problems.

Malarie and Connor. Wait. They're not together?? Since when?!

Friends...I'm still just another social butterfly most of the time. Third wheel some of the time.

Me + Venetia = Movie. OH SNAP. The guy playing Cooper is Michelle's boyfriend. AWKWARD.

Justin. UGH! PLEASE TAKE HIM AWAY!! He's so mean.

Allie. Is surprisingly nice. Don't know why people don't like her...

Ali W. WOW. Since going out with Sloan, she's been a total sweetheart!!

There's more but I'll just stop there.

Jeff and Julia Crack Me Up!

We live next door to the Bishop.
He has a son named Jeff who's married to Julia.
Ever Sunday we go over and play board games with them.
One time they gave us a note challenging us to come play games with them:
"On the 6th of November, in the year of our Lord Two-Thousand and Eleven, we do hereby officially challenge you to an evening of games. As you ponder on whether to come or not please ponder the following:
  • Don't argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.
  • Light travel faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
  • Children: You spend the first 2 years of their life teaching them to walk and talk. Then you spend the next 16 years telling them to sit down and shut up.
  • Politicians and diapers have one thing in common. They should both be changed regularly, and for the same reason.
  • If 4 out of 5 people SUFFER from diarrhea...does that mean one enjoys it??
(They also included the Bulletin Bloopers in the last entry.)

On that note, come play games at 8 if you want. Include your answer and any donations in the envelope.

Funny Church Signs and Bulletin Bloopers

Funny Church Signs:

Funny Bulletin Bloopers:

"For those of you who have children and don't know it, we have a nursery downstairs."

"The 8th graders will be presenting Shakespeare's Hamlet in the church basement on Friday at 7 p.m. The congregation is invited to attend this tragedy."

"A bean supper will be held on Tuesday evening in the Church Hall. Music will follow."

"Weight Watchers will meet at 7 p.m. Please use the large double doors at the side entrance."

"Ladies don't forget the rummage sale. It is a good chance to get rid of those things not worth keeping around the house. Bring your husbands."

"The sermon this morning: Jesus Walks on Water. The sermon tonight: Searching for Jesus.

"Missionary from Africa speaking at Calvary Memorial Church in Racine. Name: Bertha Belch. Announcement: Come tonight and hear Bertha Belch all the way from Africa."

Hope you had a Laugh, Chuckle, or Giggle!

who got an A+ for this entry
(TOTALLY AWESOME)!

Since the Pledge of Allegiance
And
The Lord's Prayer
Are not allowed in most
Public schools anymore
Because the word 'God' is mentioned.....
A kid in Arizona wrote the
NEW School prayer:

  "New Pledge of Allegiance" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.

If scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.

Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene..
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all..
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks...
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong..

We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles..
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.

It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen
